In Rockford, Pat Comstock, executive director of Health Care Council of Illinois, told residents they should be the stars of the show and not just extras. "Everyone of the residents here in this nursing home is a star in someone's life. On the walk of fame throughout Illinois, these seniors are the stars that represent our state's most valuable and most vulnerable residents. So, today, we're calling on legislators to 'be a star for nursing home residents' and support legislation that would restore funding for critical medical care for seniors...for dental, vision and podiatry care."
Sunday morning, the tour takes its message to Chicago with a stop at The Imperial Grove Pavilion,
1366 W. Fullerton Ave. at 11am.
